The May #GEMonline timetable is here and as the country starts to open up again from lockdown, so are lots of job opportunities! Now is the perfect time to make the most of the fantastic sessions from the GEM team and our wonderful partners to really improve your chances of landing your perfect role.

Once you’ve written your CV and covering letter, practised your interview technique and are feeling positive, you’ll need to think about preparing for yourself for interview day. Our session Choosing what to wear for an interview will help ladies to understand how the way you dress can convey your best values and boost your confidence by providing useful tips on what colours say about you and what items of clothing and colours work well together.

You might have been thinking during lockdown about starting your own business and being self-employed. Join Jo from Cooperative Futures in her session Working Co-operatively and discover how working co-operatively might help your business idea to come to fruition.

May sees the continuation of the important Kickstart Employer sessions taking place on Friday lunchtimes. You will have the opportunity to meet a range of organisations that are currently offering excellent employment opportunities for young people aged 16-24 through the government’s Kickstart scheme. You’ll learn about the scheme, who the organisation is, what is involved in the placement and how to apply. There will also be information on other current opportunities and a chance to ask questions. All welcome so be sure to register.

Alongside this, we've got all our usual employability, skill and wellbeing based sessions including our Cheltenham and Gloucester Job Clubs, Job Searching Tips, CV and Cover Letter Workshop, Mock Interviews, Walking in Nature, Cookery Corner and Journaling for Positivity.
