The Data Sorter position is responsible for reviewing and processing large quantities of documentation quickly and efficiently. They will be required to sort through large quantities of hard copy files and determine what documents are to be retained as per the Council’s retention schedule. Documents will then need to be scanned in to an internal storage system or disposed of as per the Councils’ procedures.
Other information This work is part of a wider GDPR project and will involve the use of Agile project management methodologies and productivity techniques. Your primary role will be an Agile project team member, you will be expected to participate and contribute to the agile techniques, any background knowledge is desirable but not essential as the role specific training will be given as necessary. This work will also include rolling supervisory and monitoring tasks. Desirable criteria: • Ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong degree of accuracy; • Computer literate although basic training will be provided; • Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks; • Ability to quickly learn new software tools; • Must be able to work closely with other team members.
