Staying safe on the farm: A free training day for those working in agriculture Saturday 17th March (10am to 1pm) College Farm, Hartpury, GL19 3BE

Agriculture continues to have one of the poorest health & safety records of any industry, a record that Gloucestershire NFU, YFC & Hartpury College are committed to turning around. We have joined forces to host an interactive morning of training seminars to remind you, your family and your employees of the simple things to remember to avoid becoming one of farming’s worst statistics, covering: Livestock handling | Working around farm machinery | Working from heights & around overhead lines | Driving on country roads | Staff training & compliance | Farm crime & dealing with trespass & poaching | Firearms security | Mental health in rural communities + plenty more….

There will also be a host of supporting partners providing information and advice including NFU Mutual Risk Management Services, The Yellow Wellies Foundation, Western Power Distribution, Gloucestershire Constabulary, Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue, Gloucestershire Road Safety and NHS Independence Trust. The training lasts 3 hours and is free to attend.

We do hope you can make it. BOOKING ESSENTIAL. RSVP by Friday 9th March to 01392 440700 or (This is a working farm so please come equipped for the outdoors & wear sensible footwear)
